College for Every Student and Plattsburgh State Develop PSAs to Increase Awareness Nationwide

Three students from Plattsburgh State College have created a series of Public Service Announcements to help increase awareness of CFES and the value of a college education. Dr. Jonathan Slater, Communications Professor at Plattsburgh, had his advertising students work on a CFES campaign for the spring semester. Working closely with Program Coordinator Noah Feder and former CFES Scholar Angel Acosta, these three students developed a comprehensive media plan including both print and radio PSAs.

These radio PSAs are currently airing or will soon air in 13 markets across the country, reaching hundreds of thousands of listeners. This increased awareness will further the goal of CFES: helping underserved students prepare for, gain access to, and succeed in college. Thanks to the Plattsburgh team of Tim Cook, Racheal Cituk, and Kristen Bonsignore, as well as Dr. Slater, CFES will be able to help more students achieve their dreams.
