Season’s greetings!
The New Year is almost here, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize the approaching regular decision application deadline that I’m sure many of the CFES Senior scholars are facing with a mixture of nerves, dread, and excitement!
January 1st is the application deadline for many of the private colleges in the U.S., including Middlebury,and it is generally the last deadline that students have to make before their entire application (including financial aid) is complete.
I doubt any of you have forgotten about this deadline, but just in case, here is a quick reminder: TURN IN YOUR ALL YOUR APPLICATION MATERIALS BY JANUARY 1ST. If you are not sure if the school you are applying to has this deadline, double check!
Many of you have been preparing for this date for the past 4+ years, and I wanted to congratulate you on all of your efforts. It’s definitely something to be excited for! It was only a year ago that I, too, was preparing for this deadline, and I know it can be very stressful and exhausting, not only for you but also for your families, friends, and teachers.
Therefore, I want to offer you right now the opportunity to take a deep breath and RELAX. Everything will work out, and you all have the capabilities to create an application worthy of your talents!
As a side note, I wanted to let you know that I will be taking some time off from blogging during the Holidays, and will return on Monday, January 4th. Feel free to send in questions between now and then! Just be aware that they will most likely not be answered until I return.
